A new cousin

The web is a marvelous thing. You find people and find out things that you never, never would have found without it. I got contacted yesterday by a third cousin. We have a great-great-grandfather in common. And she has all kinds of family material that I don't have. And I have photos and letters that she is dying to see. And it turns out that we are almost the exact same age and both grew up in the DC suburbs of Maryland. Which is not too odd when you think about it since that is where my great-grandmother was from and that's were her great-grandfather stayed and ran the family farm while my ancestress went west.
