my lucky day
Dec. 20th, 2007 02:53 pmtoday i acquired a gold tooth and two monitors. the gold tooth is a new crown and replaces the moderately nasty temporary crown i've been wearing for three weeks. my dentist said i should think of it as jewelry - but i'm not sure i'm going with that.
the monitor is a big 22" viewsonic which my company approved to make it easier for me to view those wide, wide spreadsheets that it seems to be my lot in life to create. the tech guy who came to set it up insisted on not only setting up the new 22" monitor, but retaining my old 19" flat screen monitor as well. i've never had two monitors before and it feels odd to slide my cursor from one screen directly onto the next - but it certainly does give me a lot of real estate to work with on my desktop(s). does anyone else remember when your desktop was the top of your desk and you put pieces of paper down on it and wrote on the paper?
sunday night we watched Bing Crosby and Danny Kaye in White Christmas. some movies become dated, but despite everything, this one does not. netflix has sent me the patrick stewart Lion in Winter so perhaps this evening instead of working on D3 programming like a good girl, I will watch my new movie.
