We are taking care of grand-daughters Anna (6) and Silvia (4) while their parents are on a househunting trip to Dallas. The whole family will be relocating to Murphy, Texas (just outside of Dallas) in a few weeks. So while it's a big job for us old folks to take care of the little girls, it's a joy to have them with us knowing that we will soon no longer be seeing as much of them.

Anna can read. She can read most anything but her current favorite is the Laura Ingalls Wilder books. I gave her The Little House in the Big Woods for her sixth birthday last November and she has now read all the way through to the grown-up-Laura story of The First Four Years. She most always has one or another of the books with her and re-reads them constantly.

Silvia cannot read. Silvia wants nothing more in life than to play and run and giggle with her sister Anna. But Anna is reading - a lot. Sometimes she pokes Anna, or whines, or yells or sings "Play with me! Anna! Play with me!" But sometimes, she just sits patiently staring at her sister, waiting for her to be done with her book. Thats love.
