memelainaour phone rang before 6am this morning, and it was my daughter calling from the hospital to tell me that she had lost the baby. she and kurt came over and spent most of the day sleeping at our house, and are staying the night, so as not to have to make the trek down from the mountains if she seems worse.
i know this is a natural thing, it certainly happened to me often enough, but it's new and frightening and startling to her - as well as messy and painful. they were so very happy about the baby and went ahead and told people long before the really should have done so.
