Moving off Facebook

You may (or may not) have noticed that I have not been on FB since the election. I am not going to be there for the foreseeable future. I can't stand the stress or the filth. No, I do not want to talk about it. I absolutely will NOT talk about it.
However, at least for the time being, I do have a life and I am concentrating on that. If you want to follow what is going on with me then please join me here on Live Journal. I was part of LJ years before I joined Facebook, and you are welcome to follow me here, or just watch my blog.
Today Kent and I are leaving for a few days in Dallas with Megan and her family. Looking forward to seeing the grandchildren and my wonderful adult relatives. Kurt will be making turkey, but I'm planning on doing a pumpkin pie and maybe some of Grandma Hook's Corn Casserole.
Terry will be having Thanksgiving with Erin and Karen and the Monogues and then doing a movie on Friday. I'm willing to bet it will be the new Harry Potter.
Sappho has a perfectly competent caretaker staying with her, but she really, really wanted to go south with us. She even got in my suitcase, so that I would be sure to get the message. However, she wasn't overly pleased with the idea of me CLOSING the suitcase. So she is staying behind to be pampered by Mina.
