i came, i saw, i got blisters

just back from our christmas week in pompeii. a wonderful vacation but not, no NOT, a -restful- vacation. my poor battered and arthritic body is simply not up to walking that much anymore. it will take me weeks to recover. we spent two days walking around pompeii (the first and last days of our visit), and in between went to Paestum, Herculaneum, and the archaeological museum in Naples. and finished off the last afternoon at the Villa Poppea in Oplontis. Wonderful trip. Lots of trouble getting home (it took two full days). I'll try to write it up better in a day or so.

Pictures! Boy, have i got pictures! The new Sony Cyber-Shot is an absolutely incredible camera!
