inspired by [livejournal.com profile] rolanni here's my list of reading so far this year. the thing that hits me is not so much what i've read, but the growing portion of books that are either listened to on audio (almost exclusively in my car) or read online with Microsoft Reader - either during lunch at work, or while travelling, or in bed after my SO turns out the light. and, of course, a number of these are re-reads, sometimes multiple re-reads. and hey, anyone can have ONE harlequin on her list! after all powell's advertised in on their e-books page with a really neat cover.

You have good taste in books!

I've never read the Miss Zukas mysteries; how are they?

the plots are maybe a little far fetched. but they are quick, enjoyable reads for the portryal of the title character - a completely obsessive-compulsive, morally-rigid librarian. the flow of details as she maintains a painfully structured life-style ends up being endearing. sounds odd, but one empathizes with her rather than laughing at her. certainly worth the time investment to read the first one and see if you like it.
