i had a nice long entry about my raise, and MileHiCon, and books, and my book list, and my kitty, and boom! IE went down and I lost the whole thing. well, here's the kitty, at least.
Years ago when LisaJulie and I were living together (it was okay, we were engaged) we went to the pound and got a lovely big blue tom kitty. We named him Beau Brummel because he had such wonderful, wonderful manners. He had been found stray, but was altered, well-cared for, and obviously used to being in a cage/carrier. We thought he might have been a show cat who somehow got lost. Anyway, a few months later, we went back and found a very small blue female, brought her home, and named her Belle. Things went along very well for about six months until Beau disappeared. We hunted. We looked. We were devastated. Then one day LisaJulie was sitting on the front stoop grooming Belle, and along comes one of our neighbors and tells us about the big grey male that she found who looked JUST like Belle, and how she kept him in the house all the time so he wouldn't run away. She was really rather miffed when we insisted that she give him back.
